Carpet Maintenance Tips
Vacuum often and thoroughly. We recommend at least two times per week. And invest in a good quality vacuum cleaner, change the bag often and keep the brushes free from debris.
If a spill occurs, blot it up with a clean white terry cloth towel. Do not rub and do not apply any type of chemical. Using a chemical can “set” the stain, thereby making it impossible for any carpet cleaner to remove.
Don’t wait too long to have a professional clean the spill. Waiting only makes the stain more difficult to remove.
Don’t wear your shoes in the house. Instead kick your shoes off when you come inside and wear house shoes.
Place walk-off floor mats at all entrances. Mats help absorb moisture and trap excessive sand, grit, and loose debris that might otherwise be tracked into your home. Remember to vacuum the mats often.
Have your carpets professionally cleaned at least 1x per year, more often if you have heavy foot traffic like pets/kids/visitors.
